EMBERLANE creates bespoke digital portraits of the vehicles that matter most - the first car, the dream car, the car that defined you. Each piece is hand-crafted to order, produced in strictly limited quantities, and delivered ready to live on your wall.

We accept five commissions per week. No exceptions. That constraint isn't arbitrary, it's what makes each portrait worth having.

EMBERLANE was founded in Dublin by a car enthusiast who couldn't find a portrait service worth commissioning. So we built one.

Questions.

01 —What if I don't like my illustration?
We send you the completed illustration for your approval before anything goes to print. If something isn't right; the angle, a detail, the composition. Reply with your notes and our artist will revise it. We don't print anything you haven't signed off on.
02 —How many revisions do I get?
As many as it takes. In practice the vast majority of portraits are approved on the first draft. Our artist works directly from your photo with close attention to the specific details that make your vehicle yours. But if you need changes, we make them.
03 —What photo should I send?
A clear, well-lit exterior shot from the right-hand side works best - this is the angle our artist illustrates from. The cleaner and higher resolution the better. The detail in your photo determines the detail in your portrait. Natural daylight works best. Avoid heavy shadows, extreme cropping, or very wide angle distortion.

If you're unsure whether your photo will work, send it anyway and we'll let you know.
04 —Do you ship outside Ireland?
Yes. We ship across Ireland, the UK, Europe and worldwide. Free shipping is included on every order regardless of destination.
05 —What if my portrait arrives damaged?
Contact us immediately at support@emberlaneart.com with a photo of the damage. We'll reprint and reship at no cost. Every order is covered.
06 —How long after I purchase does production start?
Within 24 hours of receiving your completed personalisation form. The sooner you submit your details after purchase, the sooner your portrait enters production. Allow 2-3 weeks from form submission to delivery.
07 —Can I order as a gift?
Absolutely. Enter the recipient's delivery address at checkout. Let us know in the personalisation form notes and we'll ensure the packaging is appropriate. If you'd like to hold the order until a specific date, let us know in the notes and we'll time dispatch accordingly.
08 —What are the background colour options?
Three backgrounds are available across all sizes:
  • Signature Linen - a warm, neutral off-white
  • Sandstone - a deeper warm tone
  • Midnight Asphalt - a near-black for a dramatic, gallery-style finish
09 —What frame colours are available?
Four finishes:
  • Black - clean and contemporary
  • White - bright and minimal
  • Oak - warm natural wood
  • Walnut - rich, darker grain
All frames are solid wood with a fine art print mounted behind premium Perspex.
10 —What is the digital download?
A full resolution digital file of your completed portrait - the same file sent to our print studio, delivered to your inbox. Ideal if you want to share your portrait online, use it as a desktop or phone background, or simply receive it before the physical print arrives.
11 —When do slots open?
Every Saturday at 10am Irish time. A limited number of slots are available each week - once they're gone, they're gone until the following Saturday. Join the waitlist to be notified the moment they open.
12 —Can I commission a portrait of any vehicle?
Cars and motorcycles, classic and modern. If it has an engine and four wheels, or two - we can illustrate it. For unusual or particularly complex vehicles, feel free to contact us first at support@emberlaneart.com and we'll confirm before you purchase.
